Hey, everyone! Guess what?
Baseball season has begun!!!!!
You see, I love baseball. In fact, I'm unhealthily obsessed with baseball. You might not have realized this because I have not mentioned it before. That's because it wasn't baseball season. Now that it is, expect regular rantings and ravings of a baseball-esque nature. I will try to warn you ahead of time, perhaps by saying "Look out, pansies, this section of the update is about so-and-so's crappy fielding performance", so that you can skip past that part of the post and read about my adventures in tentacle porn instead.
And without further ado:
WARNING: this section is about the L.A. Dodgers.
Now, I like the Dodgers. I'm really a fan of another team, which makes everyone in L.A. hate me, but they can kiss my cute white tuchis. I try to root for the Dodgers for a couple of reasons. First, my dad is a huge Dodger fan, and has been since they were in Brooklyn. So, to facilitate conversation with him, I follow the Dodgers' performance. Second, I live about 5 minutes away from Dodger Stadium. In fact, I can see Dodger Stadium from the roof of my building. Third, I like rooting for the underdog. And even here, in their adopted hometown of L.A., the Dodgers really aren't all that popular. Sometimes they play well, but they're the underdog as far as public sentiment goes, so I feel for them.
Once we get further into the season, it'll become more apparent if the team will be able to recover from its annual shedding of top players and pull themselves together to start winning games. The Western Division of the National League is fiercely competitive, however, so they'd better hurry it up. I promised my dad I'd take him to a Dodgers playoff game. I'd like it to be sooner rather than later.
