I had a great time last week at the conference. My talks went well, I saw a bunch of friends and colleagues that I don't get to see often, and I wore high heels a lot. This past weekend I had the most amazing time in Philly with a bunch of friends and family and I miss every single one of them so much it's making my brains twitch. I should be careful, since the last time I went to Philly and had such an amazing weekend I ended up falling in love. I'll be sure to keep you posted if an anomaly like that happens again, but it's entirely possible since the people I spent time with this weekend are among the few who can crack the hardened surface of my cold, black heart.
I'd post photos but most of what occurred is either too bloody or too X-rated for me to make public. Just imagine a room full of amazing people, phenomenal art, and enough love to melt glaciers.
With that inappropriate analogy, I'm off.
