Holy fucking shit:
I've been approved for the apartment in NYC! (Not like it was that hard, I just waved a bucket of money at them, but still.) I was planning to be back on the 15th for a planned visit anyway and will be staying over that weekend to go buy furniture and hang out with hot chicks. Move-in date is on the 15th, officially, but I won't be tricking my friends into helping me bringing things over until the 18th. Of course, because I am a totally anal overplanner, I already have half of my stuff picked out. Bed, big smooshy chair which folds out into a comfy bed for the guests I know we'll have, matching storage ottoman (because I like shit put away, yo), and the paint colors for the bathroom and living room are decided. I'm taking my favorite lady furniture shopping with me on the 19th to finish everything else up. It's been a long time since I decorated almost an entire apartment from scratch. This is fucking exciting.
